Soft Seaside - IGB Weekly #11
Soft Seaside: not your average seaside soiree
By request, we have a Maine Coastal mood board this week. My first attempt at this was very typical Maine- blue, white, lobster, etc. So, I threw it out and decided to do something a bit different. I love how the linens and flowers feel like waves. I also chose to use the clear candle stands so nature could be the main player. And, a lot of tall grasses. While I’m still scarred by the idea of pampas, I think long grass is going to have a moment in 2024. Overall, I tried to mix structural with the softness of nature and a touch of siren.
The Looks (from left to right, top to bottom):
I love this slinky dress from The Own Studio. The asymmetry and open back is *chefs kiss*. ($3,873)
This lace dress has a conservative silhouette but the sheerness of it gives a touch of sensual. ($1,230)

There’s something about the slouchy silhouette of this dress that makes me think of a cool sea breeze. Would be perfect for a welcome party or RD! ($1,995)
I like the idea of the bridal party being in this blue-gray color to match the water. ($270)
These natural pearl waterfall earrings would be such a great addition to any bridal outfit for this wedding. ($165)
The Franny Liautard dress literally haunts me but I’m not 100% sure if you can still get it.
Strappy sandals are a must and the simplicity of these ones from Cult Gaia are perfect. ($155 final sale)
I love this Magda Butrym dress for a rehearsal dinner, the slinkiness of it gives siren by the sea. ($1,865)
